Back to church (did we ever leave?)
It goes by many names - Back To Church Sunday, Fall Kickoff, Rally Day. Whatever you call it, churches all over the West recently regathered after the Summer season to kick off into Fall. This season is initiated with kids going back to school, and it’s quickly accelerated with some cornerstone events like your Fall Festival, Trunk or Treat, Thanksgiving, Advent, and of course, Christmas.
There’s lots of things to keep your church community informed on during this time of year and many updates to be made to your church’s website. Here’s a tip to lessen the load 💪
Work Smarter, Not Harder
Across the Nucleus platform, we’ve introduced advanced publishing tools that equip you to work now and automate for later. You’re likely prepping for Advent and Christmas now, but you’re not planning to pull the trigger until closer to the most wonderful time of the year.
When working in Nucleus Web, you can make changes now that will take effect at a specific time and date. For example, if you’re working on your Christmas Potluck page now but want to publish it later, you can schedule your work to go live right from the publishing window. What’s more, you can also schedule those changes to unpublish at a date of your choosing as well.

Similarly, the next event on your church’s calendar is likely a Fall Festival or something similar. When creating a banner to prompt sign-ups for your Trunk Or Treat, you can program that banner to go live and then back into draft mode on a predetermined schedule. When publishing your banner, simply choose Use Date Range instead of Start Now.

This functionality also exists in Nucleus Messages, which is probably where I use it most often. I send bi-weekly emails to our church through Messages, and it’s important to me that they’re delivered on the same day at the same time each week. I write them on Monday nights, and then schedule the Message to send using Nucleus for Tuesday at 8:00am. I’ll do this for our weekly Advent emails that we send out during the Christmas season, and I’ll likely schedule them soon. That enables me to be present during the season, not worrying about writing and sending emails on a weekly basis.
Work smarter, not harder 💡
